The PB8AII is an eight channel 16 bit 0(4)-20mA input module. The inputs are isolated from the logic and share a common negative terminal.
The current input can be represented in a number of formats according to the type which is setup by writing a value to the Type register. The value is obtained from the table below.
The standard setting for the PB8AII module is 0 – 20mA input current which represents an output value of 0 – 4095 (12 bits). 4 mA would give a reading of 819 Â± 1LSB.
The module can also be configured for a 0 – 20.000mA input range and also supports 16 bit ranges.
